Preparing For the Divide

The month of June had come around and more importantly, as from 23/06/2017 I was officially retired. Blowing 'whistles', throwing 'streamers' with a few drinks ... yehhh!

At this point I decided to leave the lining of the larger drawers until a much later date and concentrate on the planning of the trunks divide.

I contacted Gary, from Shenandoah Restoration an sent him several photos along with questions of concern relating to them. I also stated my nervousness about dividing my wardrobe steamer trunk! Gary helped me out by answering some questions of concerns about the divide, as well as words of encouragement, so, thank you big time Gary.

I once again re-visited several YouTube video's and played attention 'again' on areas of removing nails and the process of dividing. Along with Gary's words of advice, I finally felt more confident to the point where I actually told my daughters, "I can do this...
 So, bring it on"!

I had previously looked around for a nail pulling tool, but had no luck in finding one locally. While I could import, I didn't want to do this at this stage just for one tool. The import cost would be ridiculous, not only that, I knew I would have to import other items later such as locks (with mine, one was damaged while the other was rusted) plus I didn't know at this stage what assortment of nails I would be needing and this could not be determined until after the divide.

An eBay search lead me interstate where I found the nail pulling tool. Viewing the photos I was a little concerned that the handle didn't look overly strong.
I thought, throw in two just in case!
